This handmade Jewelry box is an ode to the school experience.
If you only remember the patterns, textures, and colors of school, instead of the content being taught, then you might love this piece.
Hand fabricated from a flat sheet of sterling silver, this jewelry box holds a chain inside on a pillow of pink pearl eraser. (I know! I used an eraser from when I taught middle school...) The chain slips through the clasp on the lid making it a wearable enamel pendant.
I love composition notebooks. They bring back memories of coloring in each white blob with different colored sharpie markers. I remember writing notes to friends inside them and then passing it as quickly and nonchalantly while crossing paths in the hallway. For me, the composition notebook turned into a diary. It became documentation of the good, the bad and the embarassing of my high school experience.
Etched sterling silver and handmade and fabricated box.
Double sided enamel pendant
Enamel on steel.
Composition Notebook pattern created with the Cricut.
Hand-fabricated sterling silver clasp. (Remember making paperclip chains?!)
