Champlevé is an enameling technique that consists of cutting away the metal to create cells and filling the depressions with vitreous enamel. The raised metal lines between the cutout areas form the design outline. In this collection, I am creating the recessed areas by the process of etching.
Spring rider is etched copper with champleve technique enamel. The piece is set in a sterling silver bezel and a trapeze-style hanging mechanism. The piece is fairly lightweight and has a unique etching on the back of a diamond pattern from a photo I took at a local playground.
An 18" sterling silver chain will be included in this purchase.
